ABOUT

In 2015 I graduated from the University of Colorado with a Master of Arts in Multicultural Clinical Mental Health Counseling. This training was the formal pinnacle of over a decade of direct care work. For the last seventeen years I have worked beside children diagnosed with Reactive Attachment Disorder, adolescents and young adults navigating trauma and the criminal justice system, and adults managing and recovering from severe symptoms of schizophrenia, bipolar, depression, and anxiety disorders.

In addition to working in various residential care settings, I started my own private clinical practice in 2016 in Colorado with a focus on providing psychotherapy to underserved groups. In 2018 following over 2,000 hours of supervised clinical practice, a national exam and a state jurisprudence exam, I became a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).

Since then I have completed extensive Approved Counselor Supervision training, become competent in best telehealth practices through the Covid pandemic, launched an internship program for Masters level counselors-in-training, and continued to dive in to trainings focusing on Internal Family Systems (IFS), trans and gender diverse healthcare, and the impacts of migration on individuals and families.

Outside of work I love to spend time with my family (partner, son, daughter, and dog), read fiction, and enjoy running, gardening, and playing with clay.
Without community, there is no liberation.
